What type of roofing does Ellerman
Construction LLC install?
We install most types of roofing including
Asphalt shingles (3Tab,Architecturals,ect.),
Cedar shake, Synthetic shingles, TPO,
Torchdown modified, and EPDM rubber
membrane.
Is it necessary to tear off my old roof?
In most areas you are allowed to have up to
2 layers of roofing. We consider it best
practice to tear off all layers of the old
roofing in order to inspect the decking
underneath. Depending on the condition of
the existing shingles,it may not be possible
to install a new roof over the old one.
My roof leaks. Do I need to have it
replaced completely?
Not necessarily. Leaks can result from
chimney flashings coming loose,pipe The
items can generally be repaired.
What are the pros and cons of metal
roofing?
PROS: * Durable * Almost maintenance free
* Fire retardant
CONS: * Can be costly to install * Can be
noisy when it rains or hails * Easily dented
by falling debris (hail, tree limbs, ect.)
What is an ice dam in roofing?
An ice dam is a rim of ice that forms along
the eave of the roof. The ice dam prevents
water that has melted from draining off of
the roof. This pooled water can seep under
the shingles and cause damage to
insulation,drywall,and the roof itself.

dollar liability insurance policy.
Ellerman Construction & Roofing Contractors also carries 1 million
dollars in Workman's Compensation.
Does Ellerman Construction require payment upfront?
You don't pay a dime until the roof is completed to your satisfaction.
Large commercial roofing jobs are dependent upon size and scope
of work being performed.
Is Ellerman Construction a member of the Better Business Bureau?
Ellerman Construction & Roofing Contractors have been a proud
member of the BBB since 2001 and is recognized as a trusted,
accredited member.
Does Ellerman Construction meet with my adjuster?
Yes! It is imperative we meet with your adjuster at the time the claim
is being adjusted. Adjusters get paid on volume and fail to carefully
examine your property. We go over it with a fine tooth comb to
ensure nothing is missed. You have property insurance, not just
roofing insurance.
Does Ellerman Construction tear everything off my roof before
installing new shingles?
Yes, never allow anyone to put shingles on top of shingles because
in most cases, it voids your warranty. Some companies proclaim
that a metal roof over a wood shake roof is okay. It's not! Think of
the wood rotting underneath your new roof degrading the entire
structure. Tear off the old before installation is the only way to
re-roof a home.
How soon can Ellerman Construction do my job?
Although we are a high volume construction company, we are never
more than 2 weeks out for big remodel jobs. For roofing jobs, we
can do them as early as next day. If you are a Realtor and need to
close...we are the company for you.
